presenting 'Jiji' 9" x 8.5"

I'm calling the drawing complete now.the drawing is slightly looser than my usual style, governed mainly by the reference available however i think ive managed to capture the essence of Jiji and i hope her owner will be pleased.

It is beautiful. Looser or not, it is a wonderful portrait.

Very beautiful! They all are. You are so talented or gifted. Both I think. I am in awe each and every time I stop in.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

As an artist (I didn't major, but I minored in it), I can say your attention to detail is stunning. Your use of value and contrast is on the mark. You have a great sense of balance and texture. I also like the fact that you're doing animals, which allows the viewer to gain a greater respect for them. Bravo.

thankyou Karen:-)
hi cynthia, welcome to my blog and thankyou for your thoughts, much appreciated.detail is inadvertantly my thing or at least the appearance of detail is,i find myself getting wrapped up in elements within my drawings in an attempt to make them appear more 'real' and solid than many of the rather frail sketchy drawings and i think as a consequence they appear more lifelike and therefore detailed.people should have the utmost respect for wildlife, animals and the enviroment around them as they are far too easily destroyed and far less easily saved.
best wishes

You never cease to amaze me with your Graphite drawings, Clive! My Favorite one you've done though, is still the "FOX" at the beginning of your page! I don;t know why but that little guy is soo sweet!
