ive added some further refinements to the cat's coat and whiskers etc.i was planning to further refine the image but decided that i rather liked the slightly looser feel to it achieved by using larger brushes and so decided against over-working the piece.the image shown is a little paler than the original painting but its the best shot i could get with my camera.i think it's worked out okay but i'll let you be the judgeWednesday, 1 June 2011

thanks to everyone for the kind words,as peter pointed out it has been quite an upheaval taking on this new medium but thus far i'm having fun as i go and hopefully thats coming through in the images i create
