i finished this one up last night and left it on the board until this morning so that i could look at it with fresh eyes.there are a few minor tweaks required here and there but for all intents and purposes it's finished.

Gorgeous. I love barn owls and this representation captures a barn owl expression just right. Is it standing on a wheeled cross?
thankyou leslie,they are indeed beautiful birds,one of my favourite subjects but so tricky to capture correctly.i decided to place the bird on a celtic cross because i wanted some more textures in the piece and didnt want the rather cliched owl on a post drawing.
Love the detail on this piece.
