Blog update

As many of my regular readers will no doubt have noticed i have changed the name of my blog from the graphite art of clive meredith to clive meredith wildlife art.
the reasoning behind this is that after a long lay off from coloured works i have recently begun to work in oils again after 15 years of working exclusively in graphite.
i do hope this wont stop my graphite art fans from stopping by as i certainly havn't finished working in the medium indeed i still have an unfinished pencil piece on the drawing board.
i will be posting more art here shortly although it will be a short break before the new oils start to appear but i hope you'll bear with me and look forward to hearing your thoughts on the new works(but please be gentle as its been a while since i held a paintbrush)

Your graphite works are wonderful! I look forward to seeing more of your colourful world. I'm sure they will be every bit as enjoyable.

I like the new look. Your new blog name and the painting under it looks very nice on my computer screen. The colors are beautiful.
Look forward to new works.

Oil or graphite or anything else, art is art. :)

I know a little of what your going through Clive, after 30 years of pure pencil work (as a police artist) I kept putting off any form of colour work. I began painting in acrylic only last year, and found that I could achieve the detail we get in pencil with paint, and the added bonus was it was much quicker to achieve. I, like yourself, will never abandon my first love, pencil. I now see painting as just another tool to express my art. Good luck on your new endeavour, and remember you still have to sketch out what you wish to paint, so I am more than sure you will be successful.

I'm really excited about this change Clive. Your graphite peices are perfection, but I must admit I am drawn to colour and if your banner is anything to go by, your coloured work will be an inspiration. Can't wait to see your wildlife in oils!!! :))

Hi, Clive. Just stumbled across your page. It's good to know that you are experimenting on the art mediums that you use. That is a true sign of being an artist. I've just checked your website, and I think you indeed make a stunning visual imagery through your artworks. Can't wait to see your wildlife pieces using oil as your primary medium. Thanks for sharing.
