Elephant drawing completed 17.5" x 12"

Ok,so here it is,the as yet untitled Elephant drawing as it stands right now on my drawing board.I feel as though ive been looking at this image for an age now and i'll have to leave it on the board for a couple of days and look at it afresh later as well as hopefully come up with a decent title for it.Hope you like it,i'm off for a little lie down!

Your work is so stunning. It is just a feast for the eyes! I can only imagine the patience it takes to complete a piece like this. I love the egret in the foreground - adds a lot of balance to the piece.

As much as I was enjoying your foray into oils, I have to say this is a very impressive return to graphite - well done Clive!

This drawing is insanely detailed! I wish I could get up close to it and look at it with a magnifying glass. Your lie down is well deserved.

thankyou very much to all for your comments.
Carol,i decided early on in the piece that it needed something else besides the elephant to add a sense of dynamism and movement and to distract from the rather plain expanse of grass that would otherwise be evident.
Peter, many thanks, although i feel a quick foray back into oils is what is required right now for the sake of my sanity
Jules, glad you enjoyed the wip's and keep up the good works
laruelapalooza, thankyou,i'm well rested now,you get my vote for the high school teacher with the coolest name:-)
