the serval portrait is now complete,ive darkened the background a little to make the cat stand out a little more.thanks to all for your kind comments after my recent back troubles,i'm now fighting fit again after a couple of trips to my local osteopath and plenty of exercise!

I like what you did in the background. I often leave mine white but yours looks great. It does really pop your image.
thanks wendy,i think it helps with certain images like portraits to make them stand out a little and look a little less illustrational and more arty.although there are times when the stark white background adds to the drama of a composition.however it can take an age to layer the background!
