Hare portrait 12.5" x 8.5" oil on board

Completed this little oil study of a Brown Hare this morning.

Ive had fun drawing a few pencil drawings of a Hare, seeing it in colour looks great!!

thankyou stacey,they are such great characters that whether in graphite or oils ive always loved depicting them and there fur has such interesting flecks of colour particularly on there backs which makes them quite a tough chalenge in graphite

hi sheona and thankyou very much for the compliment,i'd love to be able to say the limited palette was a conscious decision of artistic genius but in reality i think it was a happy coincidence of trying to keep the image itself fairly uncomplicated:-)
