i am absolutely delighted to report that my original pencil drawing 'Drifter' has been selected to be hung at the Mall Galleries in London at the David Shepherd Wildlife foundations annual Wildlife artist of the year competition exhibition. This will be the third year in which my works have been selected to appear at this prestigious show. Most importantly 50% of all sales proceeds go toward funding DSWF's vital conservation projects worldwide.

That's awesome! It's an incredible piece and I'm really thrilled that they honored the medium and gave graphite art the credit that it deserves. You do such beautiful work and give meaning and personality to your animals and their surrounding.

hi katherine and thankyou for the kind words about my art.i was and remain very proud of this piece particularly as it was one of my last major graphite pieces and so i'm delighted that it will be shown in such a prestigious venue and hopefully help to raise much needed funds for conservation.

Well deserved Clive! It's a beautiful drawing. I hope you don't give up graphite work all together, as I don't think I've ever seen anyone use the medium to such effect

litleinsect, thanks very much,i havnt given up on graphite entirely and still produce a few commissions.i will no doubt return to the medium again but at the moment i'm exploring oils and still enjoying the creative process even if it doesnt feel as entirely natural as working in graphite as yet.
