Botswana safari 1st-14th september

I thought I would let some of the many images from my recent safari to Botswana and Zambia do the talking as they can tell the story of my trip far more eloquently than I ever could.the safari encompassed the game reserves of Moremi,Savuti and Chobe in Botswana as well as a short trip into Zambia to visit Victoria falls and the mukuni big 5 cheetah encounter.the safari was run by Elephant trails safari company and each day our guides would have us up at 5.30am in order to get as much game viewing as possible each day as well as the opportunity to catch big cats on the move before the heat of the day confined them to the shade.our little band of 10,6 of us from England and 4 from spain bonded immediately and became firm friends during the whole experience.i was absolutely captivated by the wildlife of Botswana and delighted to see huge herds of elephant particularly in the chobe river area on the border with Namibia.our trip was made even more spectacular by the superb tracking skills of both Guy(the proprietor) and Ofentse which ensured wonderful sightings daily.i hope to be able  to return one day but in the meantime I will do my best to turn some of the wonderful reference material I obtained into artworks which truly represent some of my experiences.

Your photos bring back so many memories for me Clive. I suspect that in your mind you're still in Africa, even though your body is back in England. Let the paint fly!
